i have been discussing this with regards to another list i manage (the
magdalena project) & we have concluded that we are already GDPR
compliant since everyone who is on the list has already opted in to be a
part of the list by subscribing, we are not holding sensitive
information about people (beyond names & email addresses, & we aren't
using the information for anything except sending the email newsletter &
definitely not giving it to third parties. we decided not to ask
everyone to opt-in again, but we are going to create a page on the
website which says where the data is held & what we do with it, & we're
also going to write about it in the next email newsletter.

so i think that since our lists are small, we aren't holding any
sensitive information, & we have our own server, we are probably GDPR
compliant already. we could put a statement about it on the website.
