[Adminsysters] help with a network disaster on linux laptop

hi,
first of all apologies for not responding to all the systerserver
discussion recently - i am still immersed in my move back to nz.

now i have managed to do something serious to the network settings on my
laptop (ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS) & am going insane trying to solve it. if any
of you have any experience in this area & can offer any tips, please
answer me off-list.

i installed a vpn the other day & at first it worked fine, but now i am
completely unable to get online, even with the internet status saying i
have a good connection. i've spent most of the day trying & failing to
uninstall the vpn, & reset the network configuration ... on live chats &
forums, so far nothing has worked ...

i hope you're all having a more relaxing holiday period than me! :/
