//- gaba is happy about finally moving systertown to jean and sharing responsibility around it //- nate is busy with their phd thesis, has been applying sysadmin knowledge in their local server context and is looking into touring with their band //- mara is also busy and might not be as engaged with systerserver activities this year, although would be up for giving feedback on applications and take care of urgent tasks in a fire extinguisher capacity //- ai needs to be present for personal urgencies and possibly reconfigure some infra at home //- ooooo would like to explore legal models for systerserver and can commit for general tasks depending on the family situation //- i'm doing just fiiine, also have been very curious to figure out legal entity options [international coop, for example] and could commit 2 days a month this year

~ 360 degrees of proximities : both ca la dona and broken house peertube servers are offline at the moment; broken house server is resting and cherry's house and is waiting for internet activation at offline [https://offline.place] where it will be later relocated // as for ca la dona, we have yet to inquire whether peertube platform is still relevant for them and then configure the server revival, which now sits in the third floor room ejected from the ethernet portal.

~ since last year jean has new inhabitants/sysadmins through the servbup project: batool, george, becky, sunni, katie. we could ask them for a donation or sysadmin/maintenance contribution to jean. for example, they could setup a postfix server that would send us jean upgrade emails
~ we now have 3 tinc networks configured on jean: systerserver [for servpub], alliances [for other allies] and internes [for internal nodes]





... { 2024 agenda

this is a pad with sysadmin and communication tasks for 2024, some are trailing from last year https://eth.leverburns.blue/p/systerserver-agenda

~ we need to finalize backup server wakeonlan configuration, connect it to `internes` tinc network and subsequently detach from neutrinet vpn
~ gaba would like to setup cronjob for mastodon media deletion as it takes a lot of space
~ i'd like to work on customizing systertown css
~ gaba proposes implementing onion service for systertown -- maybe a workshop at /etc? ]]


we will send out emails regarding these sessions

we've received several emails with interest in embedding different projects and hosting folks on our infra.
for now we would rather redirect two of them to other relevant communities/providers.
nate will reply to them this time and pass the baton to mara in reacting to further requests.


as for the diebin.at feminist server, they asked if they could be on our gitlab and we would onboard them there.

~ last year mara and nate contributed to mastodon research event at warwick university, which now intends to work on a 'written collection on the fediverse' and asked if systerserver would like to partake in.

we asked if there is a fee for it, and depending on it would decide on commitments and how many of us would take this on.
deadline is on february 15 and we cld meet on feb 14 to work on the application around our sysadmin documentation as archival practice.

would be great if we could get together at /etc [june 5-9] and continue after for about a week with this residency.
