today ooooo, ai and i met to install borg on jean and start backing it up to leverburns {they are already on the same tinc network `internes`}.

we installed borg and gave jean ssh access to leverburns
we copied and modified a backup script ~ run.sh ~ from adele

at the moment we are backing up
        /opt/ /etc/ /var/ /home/mastodon/ /usr/local/etc/tinc/ /var/lib/redis/dump.rdb

the latter is related to mastodon; we also wanted to incorporate postgres database dump into backups but it got complicated:
first, there were issues with accessing pg_dump operation for mastodon database, so we updated /etc/postgresql/17/main/pg_hba.conf with mastodon database credentials. this gave us access but then we ran into:

WARNING:  database "mastodon_production" has a collation version mismatch
DETAIL:  The database was created using collation version 2.31, but the operating system provides version 2.36.
HINT:  Rebuild all objects in this database that use the default collation and run ALTER DATABASE mastodon_production REFRESH COLLATION VERSION, 
or build PostgreSQL with the right library version.

we started running `borg create` command via run.sh script in the afternoon and it is still not finished.
first-time long run is expected but /home/mastodon/live/public/ directory is quite heavy

atm timer {`automatic-backup.timer file`} is set to execute the backup script at 4 am every night, just like on adele

        ./ maybe it's best to not have leverburns receiving backups from 2 servers at the same time?


and similarly to adele configuration sysadmins would receive mail report for jean nightly backups
