Dear peers, kith and kin,
The future is *now*.
Our Community Networks & Community Infrastructure proposal to the
Internet Society (ISOC) has been shortlisted.
As we gear up for the next cycle of the Internet Society (ISOC)
2026-2027 Special Interest Group (SIG) Topic at the forthcoming
Selection Process on 16 October 00:00-0130 UTC

I am compelled to reach out and voice to how critical your support,
participation and/or vote is in the upcoming selection process, in order
to formalise Community Networks & Community Infrastructure SIG at ISOC
for the forthcoming years.
Amidst the burning backdrop of the unarguable epic fail of
business-as-usual, it is time to converge and gain a foot more broadly
in the conversation and application of community led Internet
Infrastructures, which are great jeopardy from the relentless
catastrophes and uninformed trespass of neocolonial FAANGz
(mindful of a bio-eco-socio-techno rant to the converted excuse brevity
)..
"Many of our initiatives are like individual sticks — valuable together
but vulnerable standing alone. When we come together under a shared roof
— a structure like the Internet Society — we form something stronger,
more visible, and harder to break."
How You Can Support:
-* If you are not already become an individual member of the Internet
Society (ISOC). Free!
-* Please forward this to suitable peers-proxies
-* Stay engaged with our activities and leadership updates:
isoc-cnci-sig at networkcommons.org
-* When the ISOC SIG voting period opens from 17-31 October 2025, make
sure to cast your vote https://www.internetsociety.org/sigs/
-* Encourage other members or suitable people to become ISOC members so
they may
to vote and support the Community Networks & Community Infrastructure
SIG.
Let's make Community led Networks and Infrastructure a more impactful
voice for Internet freedom.
Salutations
