Hi,

I will also need to look in the mail archives but remember that Jean was named after Jean Bartik, just found a link:

I think Adele was also a programmer in the army. Someone once mentioned a pity they were in the army which I agree with, its super off-putting. However it was the place where a lot of computing started. Difficult to like.
