hello sharon and cecile,

systerserver is a translocal project. if you need to give a country name
i would go with austria, as this is where the bare metal machine is
located.

and here comes the info for the workshops and the spreadsheet:

'feminist autonomous infrastructures' workshop (1):

this workshop introduces the notion of feminist servers alongside the
work of systerserver.net. starting with one of the feminist server
manifesto's guiding principles, we are going to explore what it means to
'decide for our own dependencies', looking at the technopolitical
entanglements of our academic, activist and artistic practices. in
queering the relations between users and service providers, we are
setting the scene for developing and inhabiting community based data
infrastructures with care. the workshop also covers the basics of system
administration and provides guides, manuals and info on how to create
and maintain a community server.

'feminist networking' workshop (2):

this workshop addresses the promiscuous practice of networkingthrough
the lense of recent systerserver and systerserver-related projects
regarding feminist video artist residencies online, feminist federating
and the creation of an experimental publishing platform. together, we
are going to explore the different modes and aspects of building
feminist networks, looking into the material and protocol-based logic of
forming and cutting connections. the workshop aims at a contestation of
centralized power, introducing and exploring tools and projects such as
the fediverse and its underlying protocol as well as tor and vpns.
